No. 2 Divisional Councillor – Casey Douce

Casey Douce Casey was first elected to the Divisional Council in January 2005.  Prior to this, Casey was a delegate at Jilalan Traincrew depot holding a range of positions including Branch Secretary and Branch Chairman.

One of Casey’s particular areas of interest is achieving a fair work and life balance for Traincrew, who spend substantial amounts of time away from their families.  Casey is a strong advocate for improving rostering arrangements to allow Traincrew to achieve this balance.  Casey is committed to improving the environment of members at work, and is a vocal advocate for improvements to cab layout, design and facilities.

Casey has extensive experience representing the interests of Division 2 members, with involvement in a range of projects including the Terminal Activity Project, 80kph Coal Train Methodology Project and the Implementation of Driver Only Operation (DOO) Project.

Casey commenced as an Engine Cleaner in 1982, and has been a member of the A.F.U.L.E. since that time.  He was classed as a Fireman in 1985 and took classification as a Locomotive Driver Class II in 1994.   Casey has spent time in a range of QR depots, including Jilalan and Cloncurry.  Casey is currently a full time Locomotive Driver based at Jilalan Traincrewing Depot.

You can contact Casey Douce on 0407 810 262.
