QR LIMITED TRAINCREW UNION COLLECTIVE WORKPLACE AGREEMENT 2009 – DISPUTES UPDATE #11

Bluff 11 hour shift dispute – Coal only

The AFULE attended an arbitration hearing late yesterday afternoon, Monday 19 April 2010, with respect to QRNational Coal rostering available shifts on the daily roster as 11 hours despite the maximum shift length in the master diagram and Coal Train Plan being a 10 hour shift.

The Commissioner heard evidence from both parties. The matter has been adjourned until next Tuesday 27 April 2010. Next Tuesday, the Commissioner will hear one last witness provide evidence prior to handing down her decision on the matter.

The AFULE State Office will keep you informed of the progress of this matter in the next Disputes Update.
