CIRCULAR: 56-09 Ref: AFULE Secretary - Fisherman Island
26 August 2009
Dear Traincrew,
AFULE SECRETARY - FISHERMAN ISLAND
The AFULE State Office received two nominations for the position of AFULE Secretary – Fisherman Island. Accordingly, on Monday 24 August 2009 the AFULE State Office posted all members a ballot paper to vote for their preferred nominee.
Unfortunately one of our nominees, Lynn-Maree Williamson, has asked to withdraw her nomination for the AFULE Secretary – Fisherman Island position for personal reasons. I thank Lynn-Maree for her interest in the position and enthusiasm to the union movement.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and welcome Claude Ellem as the new AFULE Secretary – Fisherman Island. Thank you Claude for volunteering for this position and I look forward to working with you in the future!
I urge all members to make Claude feel welcome as the new AFULE Secretary – Fisherman Island and to please refer any workplace issues and/or concerns to Claude.
If you have any queries in relation to this matter, please don’t hesitate to contact the AFULE State Office on (07) 3257 1151 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Yours fraternally
GREG SMITH
STATE SECRETARY
